After-Hours Information and Hospital Care
The practice offers "same-day" appointments for more urgent issues. For best availability, call the office either right after 8am on the day of or toward the end of the previous day to schedule for the next day.
The practice offers ultrasound, echocardiography, and plain radiographs ("x-rays"). They are interpreted by specialists in the appropriate fields.

Drs. Holdsworth, Johnson, and Visser provide hospital care at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. We care for adult inpatients and also care for newborns (other pediatric care is provided by hospitalists). After-hours call is shared by Dr. Leo Warshauer and Dr. Boyan Georgiev.
You can reach the doctor on-call after the office is closed at (910) 509-2341. Generally speaking, the on-call doctor is available to provide advise about your condition. Medications are not called in unless there is a compelling circumstance.
The answering service will answer your incoming call and page the doctor on-call. The on-call doctor should call you within 30 minutes. If you do not recieve a call back within that time, call the service again and ask for them to re-page. The service cannot take messages to deliver to the office when it opens.
